Never had any issues even when it was in stop and go traffic in 80-90 degree ambient weather last summer, don't have issues in rush hour traffic either, so again I say no to the torque converter.

I wouldn't have bought the Focus if it used a torque converter automatic.

The Cruze transmission features clutch to clutch shifting instead of bands and allows for select shifting but your right its not a dual clutch. Chevy is supposed to introduce a true 7 speed dual clutch next year. My neighbors have a Cruze and it spent a month at the dealer for transmission problems. They sounded like they had a Focus with the problems they've had with it.

you all are nuts, 2012 model focus 4 door sedan, at 40k I finally got the dealer to 'rebuild' the trans. at 40001 miles I gave it to my daughter in law (poor gal). It's now been sitting at the dealer for almost 8 weeks, waiting on parts for the FIFTH rework. Absolutely incredible! It has NOTHING to do with how it's driven! It's junk, period.

Welcome to the forum, farmerbrown.

I'm the current Customer Service Rep on the forum, and I want to see how I can lend a hand. Do you know what the current mileage is (approx.)?

Are you saying a Ford service department rebuilt the transaxle?
