Really don't have to post the same thing in multiple places, makes it hard to follow a particular problem/conversation. Two messages to Meagan in different threads can confuse things for example.

You haven't been on long enough to see this comment before, IMHO from what I've seen most of the multiple repairs are from not finding the cause the first time.

Despite many being solved by the std. repair, applying ONLY that to all misses some with other issues. Just for a couple examples, when you see ones that get clutch pack/seals PLUS a clutch lever or actuator - you know those found a cause that just throwing in a new clutch set wouldn't fix.

It's sad to see multiple identical repairs, doubt many are from a first repair gone wrong. Tunnel vision to try the same thing again, or the real cause not being obvious is my guess for most with multiple repair attempts.

2012 SE Sedan - just under 16K miles. No problems with DCT - got used to the differences from a "normal" auto tranny pretty quickly. I love this car and how it drives.

91K on 2012 Titanium with only the TCM replaced around 70K. DCT still shifts great! Commute is about 15 miles with mostly county highway going around 60mph otherwise it is 25-30mph in-town with plenty of stop signs/lights. I can't remember the last time i had a shutter from a dead stop and will only occasionally get going from 1st to 2nd if i have been at highway speed for extended periods of time.

2012 Focus Titanium 68K. As far as I know, this is the first time it's had an issue, but then neither dealers or Ford is willing to give me ANY history about this car.

What is considered a 'minor' problem, compared to continuing problems? My transmission bailed on me and I got stuck at the head of a junction lol. It's not a continuing problem, but then neither is it minor. Currently being diagnosed at Ford, so I wait to find out if it's a warranty fix or not.

Some of the minor issues I have:
1) is that it is dangerous to pull out of a junction with it sometimes. The car just isn't responsive to throttle input, like severe lag, and that's not a transmission issue as such. I have never had a grinding sound that I remember until the two days it deciding to crap itself.
2) I hate overtaking in this thing. You absolutely HAVE to be sports mode otherwise there is a large delay. Even with sports mode it still isn't great.
3) Not sure if issue, but the car not allowing you to switch between gear even when within the rev range. i.e. like over 4000rpm in a gear and it won't let you change down to go higher revs.

This site makes me feel like I have a unicorn. I have 125k on my 2012 and have never had it in the shop for a dct issue. Ever. It doesn't act up. Ever. I need to go knock on some wood now.
