Possible Transmission Leak? Please Help!

Hey guys.. I was just changing my oil (first time doing it myself on this car) and I noticed a sort of leak where the transmission is. Do you guys think this is normal?

Could someone help provide some insight? Oil change went fine. You can see where it is, the oil filter is on the left (front of the engine/car).

I appreciate the help!

Dave

Well easy. Let it keep happening and they end up having to buy the car back :) I just want to get it documented with Ford so they can not argue

that sucks. I think they will fix it 500 times before buying it back though, so hopefully a fix solves everything

I'd take it to the dealer as soon as possible. With the history of seal leaks in the Focus that damage the clutches it would be good to fix it before any damage is done.

Be sure your dealer is aware of the leak/clutch issue and doesn't think this is just a complaint about cosmetics.

I have an appt. for this upcoming Thursday! I just dont like the idea that I would have to leave it with them for a day or longer and not have a car. Oh well. As long as they can fix it. I will update with the results!

Let us know what they say cause nine looks like this but a tad bit smaller in size. If yours turns out to be a bad seal I will schedule an appt to bring mine in.

In theory, anything that can be damaged by the oil leak should be replaced when the oil leak is confirmed.
