Mine has developed a shuddering for a second when it shifts into 4th gear. All other gears are fine. I have 2,300 miles on the clock. It happens mostly on a slight incline. Manually shifting at higher rpm works fine.

Acts like it shifts into 4th too early, which happens at about 2,500 rpm, but that's the rpm other gears shift at, with no shudder.

This one has me stumped. Have the next to latest flash.

I can drive around it, by gassing it more through the gears, manually or auto.

May just be the taller ratio, at that throttle setting.

Anyone else notice this?

Just dropped my car off at the dealer. Eee! Can't wait!

EDIT: They have to update their computers first, so I'm taking a rental.

Good news is that they'll be good for whoever needs it next!

I bought mine in December so it is up to date and I only notice shudder when i hesitate between gas and brake while decelerating in parking lots for example.

Aperson993, the latest update was released mid to late December. Just because you got your car in December doesn't mean your car has the software since it was probably manufactured before the software was released.

After a full day of driving, it's 100% better. Shifting is crisp and doesn't have the lag. Low speed shutter is gone. Feels like my E brake is on when driving up my driveway into the garage. Before it shutter/ almost stall. Love it!!

Sure, rub it in... I expect to have my car back by tomorrow evening at the latest. In the mean time, I'll be getting 20mpg with my rental. Ford was out of rentals and this was the last car Enterprise had.

EDIT: I get it tonight! ^_^ Expect a review when I get home...

Huh, I had the update and the shudder was noticeably *worse* post-update. In fact, I never had any shudder (car stopped, let off brake, don't apply throttle right away) pre-update.

I have assumed it had to go through a break-in period again to learn the idle and whatnot but it sounds like that's not the case with your car...?

Not sure, you said you had an extra 10 miles on your car - I assume the drive cycle should've cleared most of that (shuddering) up. But I bet the fuzzy logic tweaks it every so often anyway. I wouldn't worry about it yet.

Yeah, I'll just keep an eye on it. It's not terrible, but I definitely am feeling more of the "manual tranny that's on the edge of stall" sensation than I was pre-update. Other than starting off from a dead stop I think it's shifting pretty well.
