Alright, I'm back.

Clunking/loose feeling with right front has not disappeared, and has even gotten a little more apparent; car now has 2800 miles on it. Tried bringing this up with service writer at 600 miles, he claimed to be unable to duplicate a problem.

Now, I know something's not right with the front suspension when I am given a 2010 Focus with 27k on the odo as a loaner and it feels tighter over bumps than my brand new 2012.

Could I get a little help here with getting this at least given a more serious look? I'm starting to lose faith in this car and the dealer network.

Mine has been looked at too. I just got it back yesterday. They did a TSB for it and it still makes a clunk.

Transmission clutch issue

I purchased my 2012 ford focus se in October 2011 and on 20 December 2011 with 5400 miles I took it to the dealer with harsh vibrations and erratic shifting. I was told the transmission was leaking fluid and that one of the clutches needed to be replaced with the seals. After 20 days I got the car back it lasted 30 days and the vibration came back not as bad. Took it back to the dealer and they told me the tappet roller in the fuel system was cracked replaced it got the car back after 10 days. On 17 February 2012 the car was vibrating so bad at 40 mph thought it was going to stall out on me. Just got off the phone with dealer and ford engineering is telling them to replace the clutch again. I wonder how many days they will keep it this time.

jbicknell: When you bought your car, you were given Ga Warranty Rights paperwork with all your other papers. READ IT. You paid a few dollars for this state mandated consumer protection in an event like this. Keep all your work receipts, and pay particular attention to how many days your car is out of service. Be prepared to write FORD a demand letter, per your GA Warranty Rights paperwork, to fix your car. If after your letter they cannot properly fix it within a specified number of attempts, and your car is out of service a certain number of days (100 I think?), they must either refund your money or give you another car. There is also a Ga Consumer Protection Agency in Atlanta you can consult. But most all you need to know is in your paperwork. Good luck.

I have not enjoyed driving in the mountains so much since I had my last motorcycle. I still love bikes, but this car almost gets the same gas mileage, and to be honest, it is much safer.
