Chrome interior door trim removal

I've been doing some vinyl work today and I wanted to cover all of my silver trim. I was able to remove pretty much everything I needed to wrap but I couldn't quite get the trim piece on the arm rest of the door to pop off. Has anyone else done this? I haven't seen anything showing how this part is removed, I'm assuming its little bastard clips like most of the other trim pieces but I couldn't get this one to budge and I would rather not break it.

This is what I'm talking about.

I think it is turning out pretty good. I have to order more vinyl for the other 2 console pieces. The roll I received had a big crease I couldn't work out of it.

Chrome interior door trim removal

Use a screwdriver to pop the end near the door handle up and the rest of the clips come out easily. It kinda slides forward and out then

I'm going to give it a shot in the morning.

I appreciate it buddy.

Need some votes real quick. I'm starting to think It would look better if I did the heater control panel and right silver trim in gloss or matte black. I feel like it might be too much having it all the same gloss metallic red.

Any thoughts anyone?

I would say to do the heater control panel in red either way so that all of the red sections are joined, and flow together. The dogleg I might then do in black to tone it down a little bit vs all red.

3M. It's the best quality. Stretches easy and adheres really well. This is the color. While it ended up not being quite the color I wanted I figured I would give it a shot anyway.

It looks good, not sure wether to vinyl or plasti dip mine. I'm edging towards plasti dip.

I used to be a big plastidip guy but I feel like it ends up looking a little cheap. The vinyl gives you a clean gloss or matte finish. I think it looks more professionally done. A few people I've had in the car have actually thought I painted and clear coated these pieces.
