HVAC Controls

Just a couple nights ago, I turned on my heat, and the temperature knob kept spinning. Not literally "spinning" but it feels like the stop broke so now it turns a full 360 degrees with out stopping. Anyone else ever have this issue? Any ideas how to get it fixed?

Also, I've stained my headliner and even after a vigorous, thorough, professional detailing the other day, it's still got dark spots (cream colored headliner). Any idea on replacements? I work with a guy who does custom upholstery, and if a re-upholster is possible, I will go that route and maybe have something custom done.

Thank You

Re the knobs, that is normal. They are supposed to keep turning like that. The setting will max out but the knob keeps turning, when you turn it the other way the setting will change as well. (Not sure if this makes sense?)

Knobs with no end stops are cheaper and easier to program since you don't need absolute position only relative (as in you measure the number of clicks and nothing else).
