Help with HVAC Replacement knobs

I recently purchased these knobs 3pcs Aluminum Car Air Conditioning Control Switch AC Knob for Ford Focus Mondeo | eBay to replace the OEM knobs in my 2013 Focus SE, but I have run into a problem where the center knob for selecting the temperature spins completely around instead of stopping like it should. Does anybody have any suggestions to fix this or a better set of knobs that may fit better and actually stop at the end of the knob range?

Step one is to remove the knob and make sure the shaft turns & stops properly.

Then look at the knob to see why it isn't seated firmly on the shaft assuming the shaft turns properly. Some knobs have tension springs for their hold, make sure that's correct if of that type (could have popped off or be missing).

Thanks for such a quick reply, I tried to see if i was missing any sort of tension spring but there definitely doesn't appear to be one For my own curiosity I put the old OEM one back in to see if it spun freely but it doesn't it stops at the end of the knobs turning range like its supposed to which leads me to believe the problem is with the new knobs themselves

I should mention this is for a 2013 Focus SE if that helps any

I noticed somewhere in here that you could have a knob stock that stops vs. the dash hole, not controlled by the shaft itself (shaft spins freely).

Something else to look at comparing knobs & hole.
