Bad Tweeter in door - time for speaker upgrade?

Hi Guys, first time poster here, but a huge fan of the forum. I've had my 2013 Focus hatch back for a couple years now and I love it. I've never been super in love with the audio quality this car puts out, but it's been more than fine for my needs. However, just the other day my drivers side tweeter blew out, and I can't stand listening to music or talk radio at anything above the volume of road noise on the highway. I have about ~$120 I can spend on upgrading the door speakers in this car, but cheaper would be better as I have other things I should use the money for. Given how I spend about 2 hours a day in this car commuting, this has moved up on the priority list pretty high.

Specs on the car - 2013 Focus S Hatch - 6 speaker MySync Factory radio
Car is completely bone stock. (yeah, not sure how the factory HU could blow out the tweeter)

I've been reading on this forum and come up with a couple of solutions for myself, but would love some opinions on this.

Option 1 - replace the factory tweeter with another OEM. $25 No change in audio quality

Option 2 - disconnect the factory tweeters, and install Infinity REF-6502ixs in place of the stock 6.5" speakers in the door. $65

Option 3 - same as 2 except I fix also replace the blown door tweeter $90

Option 4 - Get a set of 6.5" component with a crossover and mount the new tweeter in the door in place of the stock ones. $120. (I once put in components paired with a factory HU in my 1996 Chevy Impala S and I was blown away by the sound improvement over stock speakers)

Personally I'd love to do Option 4 because I think it will really improve the audio quality the car produces, however I've been reading that the factory HU amp is so bad that I might hurt the sound by putting in components. Getting an amp is out of the question because it will really put me over my budget and I do not have the time to get that involved with an install (would need hide it as I have two toddlers) This is where I need your opinions/suggestions!

Thank You!

So I ordered up a set of Infinity Ref 6500cx for the front doors. I also splurged and ordered a pair of Infinity Ref 6502 for the rears. I didn't want the sound to be uneven in the car.

I believe this will quench my thirst for better sound, but I love the fact that I can add an amp in the future relatively painlessly (I'm handy) in case I want louder with less distortion.

Thanks for the replies.

I do have a 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch sub that I've owned since '99 and haven't used since '03 but I've kept because I loved it. I am excited now that I may be able to install it one day with the links you guys have given me. Thank you!

I think you will be happy with them. Much better than the stockers. Your music will sound a lot cleaner.

I did go ahead and get the Infinity's REF installed. Wow what a difference. Now I am chasing mid-bass rattles in the doors because there's so much more CLEANER bass, and the highs are so clear. So glad I did it. Now I need an amp because I can't turn up the music loud enough, I just want to enjoy it at another level.
