Glove box light

Has anyone put a light in their glove box? I was trying to find something that would go off/on when I opened and closed it, but I figured I'd ask before I tried making my own.

I did it a long while ago on my SVT, the hardest part was finding the right switch.

This should give you some ideas...

Nice write up Sniper Focus!

Switch options are only limited by ingenuity.

A micro-switch for light pressure to turn on/off for one, or even a mercury switch type for no contact - just needs the angle change of the door.

If I had an old thermostat lying around, I'd snip out the mercury switch from that and put it in the door - drop the door & it turns on. My old P/U used that type for the underhood light, raise to turn on in that case, less wiring and troubles than using a plunger switch as they used to.

What about the idea using something like this?
http://www.amazon.com/T-02-Anywhere-.../dp/B00J4EQVPG

I have installed this in my FF underneath the back shelf so you can't actually see the lamp. There might be a possibility to install a smaller unit in the glove box....

What do you think?
