35% tint hard to see out of at night or no?

Hello all!

I'm wanting to tint my Focus 35% all around. My wife is fighting me on this because she is concerned it will be too hard to see out of at night.

Have any of you 35% window tint, or close to that? If so, is it hard to see of at night? Do you have a hard time backing up using your rear view mirror?

Would really appreciate some feedback I can show my wife. Thanks all!

PS. Wasn't sure if this is where to post this type of question. The forum that does mention window tint is for the Electric Focus? Please forgive my error if so!

I have 20% on my mustang and at night it can be difficult to see out the rear window. That being said I had 35% on my old F150 and had no issues seeing out of any windows night or day.

Do it and you won't regret it!

35 really isn't very dark. I think mine are 15 all around and I don't have any issues.

I have 15% and it is definitely hard to see at night in reverse. And I even upgraded my reverse lights to LED. You must have super vision. But 35% won't be hard to see through.

I have 5% and have never had a problem... It's like it doesn't affect my backup camera at all.

Seriously though, I had 5% in my previous Civic and I never had any problems. Maybe I don't back up at night too often? I think rear views mirrors are a bit of a luxury considering panel vans, semis, etc. don't seem to need them.

My wife claims she uses the rear view. I drive a box truck at work and I'm used to using my side views.

I'm totally okay with 35%, would even prefer 30% or 25%. The wife is the one who is iffy!

35% on my windshield, 15% all others except for moonroof which is 5%.

I can see everything fine---except I have to open moonroof to find the Big Dipper. Damn navigation is no help whatsoever.

Here's what my tint guy says...There's already a solar tint and when you add 35% it takes it down to 27%.

27% is the bare minimum legally in Colorado. It's just the right amount of tint for me.

Stick with what is legal in your state.

Just my 2 cents from an old guy lol.
