Subscribing to this thread. A friend of mine is always going back and forth to Guadalajara (Where his family lives). Maybe he can grab some for me?

I'd love this mod if it wasn't too expensive!

I never gave any thoughts about the headrests impairing my vision and actually had to go sit in the car and see if it was a hinderance. I have no problems but part of it I'm really good with my mirrors in traffic in part from driving trucks and large vans with no back window. My wife has never had any complaints either.

The middle headrest doesn't impair my vision one bit and the side ones only restrict my view just on the lower corners of the window but can see enough over the headrests to eliminate any worries about what's behind me.

For me it's more style.

I'm holding my tongue on this one but if the parts are coming from Europe I have a slight doubt it would be cheaper in Mexico unless they make them there than it is from Ford of Europe.

Ordering new parts are a fair bit more expensive than the used ones that can occasionally be found on Ebay in the UK and other parts of Europe for the 2011+ Ford Focus (MK3), usually in black cloth.

I'm more curious what Ford Mexico will charge, I'm pretty sure that it won't be something that I will jump on. Having said that, it will make them much more available on this side of the pond so my expectation that they should start showing up on ebay from wrecks and whatnot. Also I'd assume that shipping charges would be substantially less. Also there is the possibility of picking a set up while on vacation next winter. I've only got my hopes up just a tiny bit.

Considering you'd be paying for shipping from Europe either way it cuts one part of the process out going direct to Europe rather than the additional cost of shipping to Mexico first. Hence the reason to doubt it would cost less.

It may become more readily available and that's good for used parts availability, but that assumes they would be willing to part with them rather than keeping them domestically, lol.

Well lets put it this way, I would like to have the smaller head restraints, but when I checked with people in Australia v.s. the U.k. they couldn't even find the part number to get a cost for the parts and had none available as spares in the country.

A big box, but what could it be?

Seat parts from the UK? Now that sort of narrows it down but what seat parts?

Oh sweet my low profile European specification out board rear head restraints have arrived safely.

Look just how much bigger the usdm head restraints are above the seat level when fully down.

So much better looking, better rear visibility without the unfinished appearance of removed outboard restraints when the seats aren't occupied.
Sorry for the double post but here are pictures from a pair of black leather ST specification rear head restraints.

As for cost it was around $40 more than the Autonation Ford white bear lake parts price for two of the usdm assemblies but that doesn't include shipping from mn and includes shipping from Germany to the UK then from the UK to the USA.
