I used Motorcraft SP522 Spark Plugs. $5 each on Amazon so I put the new ones in even though the old ones didn't look too bad. What tabs are you talking about? The ones on the coil connectors? If so, those came off and reinstalled easily with no breakage.

is there just 4 plugs............I have not looked. The last VIBE I had the TOyota motor cover was plastic and had tabs holding it on, they cracked off, maybe the top cover on the Ford is attached differently. I may pull one plug and check it out, the factory says 100K so they must know.

I average 12-14000 miles based on computer. A good synthetic oil (Schaeffer or Amsoil) and wix platinum filter.
Trans was under warranty. I believe it is covered till 100k and tcm is covered over 125k.

Just 4 plugs. Easy to access and change. I put a touch of antisieze on the threads and tighten by feel. I forget the gap but google is accurate. Never trust the gap out of the box.

Coolant drain and fill / plugs for 100K - gap is in the hand book. You can get Motorcraft ones at auto zone for cheaper then the dealer(they come pre gapped).

Cabin filter ever 30K

Change your wipers as you see fit.

And as for the trans I had mine refreshed and the TCU replaced and it can act up here and there still but nothing super crazy. I hate to as it but its the nature of the beast with a dual clutch. My GTI with DSG had some quirks too.
