focus of Thierry

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum, I come from Belgium, and I translate via a google translator because I do not speak English, so please excuse me for my bad language.

I possede a 2012 focus "trend", 2l tdci powershift 115hp reprogrammed at 185hp and 400nm. it's run good.

I did not have the automatic headlights, so I bought the switch with automatic position, and I programmed with the software focccus # 88 automatic lights => automatic light.

I have a new setting in the dashboard menu with "rain lighting" and setting when closing the car (manual, 20 seconds, 40 seconds, 60 seconds)

All this works, the problem is that in the "automatic" position, the headlights always remain lit, even in the middle of the day. Missing a sensor?

can you help me? I can make pictures for you.

thank you very much.

Moved to the MkIII section for a better fit.

Threads here on the FoCCus programming and headlight operation.

Isn't the automatic headlights activated by a sensor on the center dashboard near the vents?
Its weird they work without any input sensor at all.
I don't have a pic handy but I believe its #c287 in the harness diagrams for the dashboard, Autolamp and rain sensor.
[Edit] #c286 Autolamp/sunload sensor
By rain lighting you mean puddle lighting, the lights under the mirrors?

I have a sensor near the windscreen, for the luminosity of the gauges, I thought this is the one for the automatic headlights, but it does not go.
I do not understand for "c # 287 and c # 286, in the software focccus it only goes up to # 243 shifter type.
Thank you very much for your help, and excuse me for the bad English

The numbers are locations of the sensors on the wiring harness, they have nothing to do with focccus.
If you have the service manual or wiring diagram manual it will tell you their locations.
I don't have the means right now to snap and post a picture of them, but if you can find a manual it will tell you where to look.
There is also a headlamp control module but I would imagine focccus can read it.

Also, Your English is fine I can fully understand you.

I thank you for your precious help. I can not find anything in the manual for sensors and wiring. When you have the time, if you have a small photo or an internet link, it would be great. good evening to you. Thierry.

It takes a Service manual to see that information, "C" numbers are for connections of the wiring harness as numbered in the wiring diagrams.

I couldn't find a pic of the actual sensor in my book for him to look for.
I would have snapped a pic of the relevant pics and pages out of my wiring book but the camera glass on my tablet is scratched up too much for it to be useful. Can't make them out at all.
Hate how my my15 service manual is only on disk, can't figure out a way to make it a readable file for my tablet.
I don't have the older service manual downloaded(2011-2013)on my tablet anymore because it would crash everytime I tried to view it in any real in-depth search.
Also, English isn't his native language so I do know its worth it for him to download what here on the site.

True.

Wiring diagrams are universal, but little use on knowing WHERE things are - just that they exist & how they hook together.

If it's the sensor im thinking of, it's not for the gauges, the headlight switch
is where you control the brightness of the gauge lighting... for the auto lighting is it set to "Manual" in which case it would not turn on by itself, needs to be in 20sec or 40sec mode.
