Dunno about you, but I'd be livid with their service dept. Last one's under the hood and they shrug you off? Not cool.

I'm with this guy, that seems like a pretty crap thing to saddle you with.

You say you can actuate the secondary release but the main pull does nothing? How can you get to the yellow handle if the hood is down, or are you hitting it with a screw driver?

If it helps I can snag some close up photos of the hood release for you to use as reference.

I have to agree the service department owes you a fix.
I would call the General Manager and raise Hell.
Explain how your complaint can become the next TV news poster child for bad service...

My bet is the service idiot used the inside door handle and just pulled way to damn hard, snapping the cable off the handle.. or the lever under the hood.
The handle only moves about 45 degrees to open. I bet the guy forced it 90 degrees..
Then pretended he did nothing wrong.

I concur, no way in a million years would I have accepted those keys. Now you are on the hook for any damage they did to the hood lip, they will claim you did it.
Make them fix their screw up.

I have connections at the dealer. They know what is going on.

Found a set of allen wrenches in the bottom tray a few minutes ago. I'll get it popped once i get my guys out of the office. Then we'll see what's going on

Took me 2 minutes from the bottom with my hand. The idiots never pulled the tray to try.

Reach between the fan and motor angling from the driver side. Just above the spring you can hit the lever and pop your hood.

Tech did not install my intake heat shield properly which pushed the cable off of the mount. Left it unattached from header panel and the hood latch sensor was dangling.

I will be going by this weekend to get my labor refunded and to give the tech his Ikea allen wrenches back.

By the way the car is liquid wrapped. Only damage I can find is to the edges by the hood and fenders. I have half a gallon left so it will just get another coat and be good as new.
