^ Never knew that. Did I just luck out on both getting a matching key and having a reasonable dealership?

FWIW, mine looks like this. It's a squared-off cut, not like a regular doorknob key. The cut doesn't actually go all the way through both sides of the blade. The majority of the ones I saw on eBay looks like regular house keys that WalMart could cut. (ie. like this)

I purchased a bunch of "high security" key blanks. I have a titanium and I "should" never need the keys, but I like to be prepared.

Here's a link
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/222160394085

I'm not saying you have to buy these keys, but they fit any 5 key titanium fob like I posted. I'm still unsure if you use the same key as I do.

Here's an ebay auction with a crazy low price.

FORD OEM SMART KEY KEYLESS REMOTE FOB FCC-ID M3N5WY8609 | eBay

I believe that the key fob should work if yours looks the same, but please don't hold me to it. I'm new to fords.

It ends really soon so jump on it if you want it.

Here are some more auctions.

Once again, please research before you buy.

OEM 2011-2017 Ford 5B PEPS Prox Remote - FCC: M3N5WY8609 | eBay

NEW UNCUT KEY- 13-16 FORD SMART KEYLESS REMOTE M3N5WY8609 CJ5-15K60-DX VGC | eBay

2011-2016 Ford Smart Key 5 Buttons M3N5WY8609 315 Mhz | eBay

FORD KEYLESS ENTRY SMART REMOTE FOB OEM WITH TRUNK M3N5WY8609 | eBay

BT4T-15K601 Ford OEM 5 Button Key Fob | eBay

CJ5T-15K601-DX Ford OEM 5 Button Key Fob | eBay

Even if you find one with a Lincoln badge on the back it should work the same. I bought a super cheap Lincoln one that was ugly just so I could stow it hidden in the car with the battery removed just in case I lose my keys.

FYI If you have 2 admin keys I believe you can add up to 2 more key fobs without paying someone to do it. There's an explanation in ford's manual. I know it's expensive to get keys added but for those with 2 keys it's a cinch.

Page 45 is where it starts. Page 66 describes how to program new keys.

Hope this is helpful.

Thank you for all the links, but mine is not push button start. It's regular key start and the whole fob is identical to the eBay link I posted.

I haven't made any moves on this. As I posted earlier, this has never been an issue in the years I've own the car, so it's taken a back burner to everything else in my life. lol Just wanted to see what it took and what everyone else was paying for fobs/dealer programming.

Back when I worked for a Chrysler supplier I worked in Driver Authorization which basically means anything to do with Keys, Ignitions, Push Button Start, and Passive Door Locks (the fancy handles).

MyKey based on what I know is "independent" of the ability of a key to start the car. As in you don't need to mess with the complex "authentication keys" to mess with the MyKey settings.

I'm not a fan pf Focccus because it's unstable to use versus a dealer tool (or other official Ford tool) but theoretically one can edit the MyKey info with a regular tool. However to add or delete keys from the "authentication" database requires special seed + key access to the module and your cars "PIN" which is usually a barcode and number attached to one of the keys when the car is new. This "PIN" can be looked up in the Ford system, however if you have the number other tools (which are authorized by Ford) can add and remove keys.

I'm not sure how blank Ford keys work, but on Chryslers once you programmed a key to a car it could NEVER be programmed to another car. GM however allowed you to erase the keys and reprogram them to another car.

This of course is all different than the "cut key" which opens the physical exterior lock (back-up on push button start cars) and turns the ignition tumbler. All car keys now use the "inner style" "European keys" which have a cut out on inside or on one side of the key but maintain a rectangular shape in the middle cross section (when viewed sideways). This of course is different than your typical house key and older style "North American" "cut keys"

Sorry about that. I was unclear which key you meant.

FoCCCus doesn't do anything with the keys and their functionality. You're not able to add keys or remove keys.

All I did was switch a "1" to a "0" and it removed MyKey from the menus. I switched it back to "1" and MyKey was added back with no Admin functionality enabled, it had been disabled. Thus me not having to buy another key to just turn off the MyKey limitations.

What you did was you turned off the feature (not all trims had MyKey). Which clears the MyKey restrictions for your specific key. If I understand correctly, once you turned it back on the restrictions remained removed?

All Focccus does is rewrite the Central Car Config which pushes options out to various modules. Thankfully Ford has moved away from this, instead storing the settings independently in each module in newer car lines.

I don't like CCC and try not to mess with it even with dealer tools. On later cars it's not a concern because you can only flub up the specific module you edit, not the whole car.
