I think it's based on the fact that FoCCCus is a Russian hack, and some people have had issues with it - often more from how they use it or the connections/ELM type but still issues.

Don't record initial configuration then have a problem - and you're on here asking for software data to try & recover your car so it works at all.

Don't see it often, but it's happened.

It takes a certain familiarity to be comfortable making software changes, and dealing with issues that result - even if only resetting codes that result.

Dude calm down. I never said I was doing anything. But please tell me more about somebody elses ECU, then how you don't need a race car, then how you'll just rent a race car, then about how clean your driving record is, then about your insurance, then how much you love Mexican food, then, etc.

And please, keep the use of punctuation to minimum.

You'll be fine using focccus.
There is an entire sticky dedicated to it.
I've had the 15B22 update done to mine with the configurations changed in focccus with no issues.

I think it's great that everything worked out for you.

Was it difficult? I mean any trail and error or was it straight forward? I'm going to have to fool with that.

I have a car here which I can well afford to screw up.

I grabbed a $14 key off of eBay (a blank) and went down to the dealer this morning. They cut it for free and walked me over to the service department. Forty five minutes later they brought me a bill for $60 with two functioning admin keys and the MyKey settings cleared.

Total investment: $74 and about an hour at the dealer.

The dealer here wants $175 per key plus $125 to pair it with the car.

I bought 3 spare transponders on eBay as well as a 4 pack of high security blanks. I'm going to pay a 3rd party service to cut the blanks and reprogram the keys. I'm guessing $200 for the service and I averaged $60 per key fob on ebay.

I have the same problem. Bought the car with one key. Accidentally put it into mykey mode. Stuck there...

Can someone supply a link to these keys on eBay please? I have the same problem and have been looking to remedy it for some time now. Thanks.

Be very careful about which key you buy. You should check your current key for matching codes. The codes are located under the spot the emergency key resides. You'll probably need a magnifying glass to read them. You don't need to take the back off like in the picture. I just happened to have the cover off when I took it.

There are 3 codes. FCC code on the left, upper right is a code I don't know the name for. The code on the lower right is the model #. You can also try searching for the FCC number on eBay. Sometimes there are overlooked auctions that will sell keys cheaper.

For my car, which is the titanium, the code to search for is CJ5T-15K601.
