Whats up with my door?

Looks like the seals at the top of my door were replaced or something before I got the car. That's no big deal in itself, but when I open the front passenger door (the right door in the picture), it takes a good nudge/pull on the door to get it open, like the rubber pieces rub against each other. What are my options in terms of fixing this? I was thinking I could probably just use some sort of blade or something to get that extra edge off, but there has to be a different way.

Your door looks like it's out of alignment (any hit?)...get it checked...don't cut the rubber

NOT NORMAL!

Yeah, the lines don't line up. You have a 15, make an appointment with your local dealer and let them look at it. Should get fixed under warranty

Welcome to the community, Some_Person!

My name is Tricia, and Iím one of the U.S. Ford Customer Service Representatives on this forum. I agree with ELCouz and SlowhiteJr. Youíre heading in the right direction by setting an appointment to have your vehicle diagnosed at a Ford Dealer. Be sure to keep us posted on your dealer visit.

Lastly, whatís the mileage on your vehicle?

Tricia

Insert "Go to your local dealer" here

What will that cost?

But really whatever you do, do not cut the rubber x3. Before you go to the dealer see if your door striker is out of wack. Save some money if you can.

Hoping it'll cost little to nothing. I guess I never really planned on cutting the rubber, but it was the first at-home thing I could think of I'll find out tomorrow at my Ford dealership!
