What fits?

So I bought my mk3 almost a week ago, and it's on cut springs, which is irritating, but manageable for now. I have looked, and looked, and looked on this forum for sedan specific coilovers and I keep reading 1,000 different answers. My main/only question is; what coilovers/brands fit my 2013 Focus SE? cut springs is not a long term thing for me, and I also do not want to risk buying coils that won't fit, even though a dealer says they fit 12+ focus'.

Cut springs? Hopefully nothing else was half-assed by the previous owner.

The Brakes, Suspension & Chassis section is good for those answers.

Simple one is easy though - there is NO special coilover setup for the Sedans. Same one works for all models.

None of the worries about which springs fit which struts depending on model year when going the coilover route.

I guess the previous owner didn't care for a harsh ride, and didn't want to research. I see there are plenty of manufacturers that offer coils for 2013 Focus', but some websites don't specify if they're for the ST or NA. From what I've read, the shocks for the ST in the rear are shorter than the NA.

My biggest thing is I don't want order coils, start to install them and realize that they don't quite fit because they're made for a different Focus.

I'm new to this forum, still trying to learn how to navigate it, and what I have found on coils or suspension doesn't really answer any outstanding questions. Hope you understand.

No problem, dry humor about none avail. for sedan - since sedan doesn't need special ones. (hatchback ones on my older version, same situation)

With the MkIII generation the suspension for the performance car (ST) no longer matches that for the std. version. Only springs will actually fit in back, so not much help. Things like shocks and sway bars are entirely different at the rear. Good to stay away from even ST spring sets, as they are made for a car with different weight & balance.

Unless it says Focus MkIII or Focus '12+, stay away. Ford or Focus ST is not applicable.

2012+ Focus Aftermarket Parts & Mods Info Thread.

https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url...9&share_type=t

This thread has a list of compatible suspension parts. Any reason for wanting to go with coilovers and not just proper springs?

I've always been fond of coils honestly. I like the height adjustability. Say for instance, I wanted to swap wheels, or tire profiles, or anything, I like being able to dial in the fitment and be picky. As to springs you're just set at that height more or less.

JKeetFoc, I love how your car looks! These guys can give you really good suggestions for coilovers for sure and I'm curious what they say since I'm looking into getting them one day too.

Out of curiosity, what is that on your rear bumper under the valence? It looks sweet but I'm wondering if it's custom made, it looks custom. Can I buy it?

I like to use this site to identify brands/options, but then look into each option on the manufacturer site. They have an awesome catalogue of parts:
