Goodbye to pin-striping

I feel like it ages the car and just doesn't look right.
Of course I had no wheel tool so it was me picking at it with my nails for few hours.

And the drivers side all finished.

I'm doing this from my phone so I don't know. It wouldn't let me put two attachments in one post.

Much better. Unless you embrace pinstriping and go full old school/minitruck, they just don't belong on modern cars.

Sadly its usually done solely for dealer mark ups:
Negotiating Dealer Add-Ons on a New Car on Edmunds.com

I agree it doesnt look right on a focus and determinately not for a mark up

If I could've gotten longer strips to peel off I would have done one up on the trunk but it was just short little chunks.

I'd much rather they skip the stripes and mark it up for an armrest.

How about something like on a Rolls Royce, where it is painted on by hand? It's extravagant and over indulgent but on a car like that i think it fits. The complete opposite of a vinyl sticker that they have someone at the dealer stick on once the car is unloaded

I don't consider stripe kits to be pinstriping. Legit pinstriping is done by someone that has mastered the techniques and can do it by hand. Perfect example - sister in law's truck was pin striped at a car show, by hand, by a random old guy.

Said truck -

Can't see it in the picture, but it gives you an idea of on what pin striping should be used.
