Focus SE 2015 Deal or No Deal

Ok I like the Focus except for the trans issues---granted they warranted it for awhile. Do the 2015 have same problems? I found a '15 certified with less than 5000 miles.... It's only $14900---trade mine with 70k...It would be a potentially great trade? Deal or no Deal...Thanks for any thoughts. Warranty is still in place pus its certified......MJB

Check the incentives on a new 2016, I see a new SE sedan with 5mt near me for 15,140. I would think they have most the bugs worked out in the 15-16s.

The latest version of clutches (as of today) weren't used in production until mid-2016 MY, so I'd vote no.

Honestly, I think you'd have to be a masochist if you're going to buy another vehicle with the same Getrag 6DCT250 after this experience.

Don't know what year you have, but the '15 DCT's will ultimately end up having problems like the previous years. The clutch packs have a newer part number, but the TCM is the same.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a new one with an auto. That is why I ordered a '16 with an MTX. Will be built in about 2 weeks.

Do y'all know if the '16 autos still use the DCT?
I was hoping they would have gone to a conventional auto by now.

I thought the shuddering issues warranty fix was only for 2012-2014 DCT autos. 2015/2016 arent covered even if they fail the RPM test the 2012-2014 uses.

Please correct me if im wrong.
