Sale Price opinion-2014 THP Sedan

I'm selling my 2014 Focus THP Sedan and want to hear your opinion on a fair price. It has 22,000 miles and no accident history. It has every option available on that model. Body is in excellent condition. What do you think?

What's a THP?

Blue book/black book and look at ads in your area for a pricing guide, sale by owner runs quite a bit less than Dealer pricing.

(BTW - can't use this as a way to list it for sale)

THP--Titanium Handling Package.
Clean trade is $14,500
Clean retail is $17,300
I understand how pricing works but I wanted to see what others have seen similar cars sell for on here since this is a focus forum.

This is not a for sale ad simply asking opinions.

Figured the first question would be useful, if the acronym isn't familiar here most buyers won't understand it either. Titanium model with handling package might be better for a description to most.

In '14 SE's were going for a typical low price of $16,500, that will affect used prices for all to this day.

Trade in & private sale numbers are the useful ones, Dealer is always much higher. Local market can be a large factor obviously.

These haven't been great for resale with low prices avail. for new ones. Doing as good or better than book trade numbers will take time & effort. Many Dealers don't want them, skewing the numbers from the ones bought with part of the trade value a discount on the new car purchased.

Looks like a very well taken care of car+ it has a tad bit low mileage, based on 15K yr. So that'd be a add+ great condition.

I would say that SEs in '14 were going even lower than that. After incentives, very easy to bring the car down to $14k and that was without trade! (unless your price was before incentive, then the point is moot).

You're right in that some went lower, stripped versions got advertised as low as $13,900 (SE's).

I was comparing to the typical low price I saw mentioned that year of around $16,500 for a Dealer ordered lot car that was fairly well loaded. At the upper end those were close to a Titanium in features, and sold for not much more than that.

I routinely check on line for used Focus inventory at Ford dealers and Carmax in and around metro Atlanta.

One thing is clear, used Titaniums are rare, so that is a point to be considered. On the other hand, the Focus is basically an economy car and "luxury options" may not be as desirable to the used car buyer as they were to the original owner.
