Rear chrome window trim fell off

Today the trim that sits below the rear passenger window came loose and fell off.

I still have the piece of trim, as well as all 4 clips that held it on.

It currently looks something like this:

Can anyone give me some ideas on how to fit this back on correctly?

It looks like it should just slide back on, but when I did this it would not sit flush against the body/window as it was previously.

Any feedback is appreciated!

I took it to the garage where I bought it and one of their mechanics was able to get it re-attached.

It doesn't sit perfectly anymore, either because the rubber underneath was stretched slightly when it came off or because the trim itself is slightly bent. It's better than it was though!

Thanks for the suggestions.
