Trash under paint, paint runs

My Focus has 4 spots where there's something under the paint, and two spots where it was sprayed on too heavily. I took it to the dealer, and was told that they weren't even going to send the photos they took to HQ to have they work warranteed. The dealer did offer to buff it out for free. Same thing for the paint runs. Is this normal?

Not sure about this, as I got mine used - however, defects ate not uncommon in new cars, just because of the size and complexity of cars in general

Did you buy your car new or used? Paint defects from the factory are possible but gross defects are more likely due to repainting. This can happen on a brand new car from transit damage with subsequent shoddy repairs. I can't tell for sure from the picture but it looks like your front fender. Lift the hood and feel inside the hood and fender for a paint ridge. That is evidence of the area being masked off for painting. A paint run that bad would be atypical for a factory paint job.

I have not seen a paint run this bad on factory paint.

Where I used to work at, our work was never like that. We did all the intransit damage repairs for the n/w.

Huh. There is a similar run right under the door handle as well, on the same door. Not sure if you can see it, but here it is.
