A detuned (down from the Fusion 181hp/185tq) 1.5 would be nice in the Focus. Keep the manual box though haha! So they are just testing them now........when would the release date be here in the US? Fall 2017?

No detuning! Lol. I would think late 17, though I wouldn't buy one until late 18/ early 19. Ford loves to make a few changes/improvements after the first year.

That would make sense, a little more leg room is always a selling point.

The 2.0 is a solid engine so hate to see it go but the ecoboost seems to be doing really well and people really seem to like it.

My worry about the 1.5 engine is NO manual transmission. The 1.6 they matched with the manual 6 speed in the Fusion went away after 2014. If they go with the 1.5, could be the end of a manual in the Focus.

There is a 6 speed manual 1.5L GTDI EcoBoost in the European specification Focus. Don't count on it going away here just yet.

It was dropped because the 1.6L GTDI EcoBoost with 6 mt didn't sell in the Fusion in the first place well enough to justify its development costs.

When Ford made the Fusion 1.6EB 6 speed manual available only if the dealerships factory order had a retail customers name attached to it, I'd say the Fusion 1.6EB 6spd manual did not have a chance in hell of selling very well. Plus zero advertising the fact that it was even available.
Poor bugger was doomed to fail.

Full sized car like the Fusion, I'm surprised they offered manual at all. Thumbs up to Ford for 13/14! Not sure about having to have a name attached to the car though to get it delivered. There were about 120 plus available nationwide at the end of 2014/beginning of 2015 when I was looking for one. All new. They were indeed on Ford lots though few and far between. Most discounted heavily. I looked at a few. My only beef at the time was browsing Fusion forums, they weren't getting very good MPG, even highway MPG. That 1.6 manual is tugging around a very heavy vehicle in the Fusion. A LOT Of owner complaints about MPG. Enough to turn me away.

I've been looking at some low mileage used ones lately. Not many out there of course. One in Seattle is mint with 8k miles but dealer won't go below asking price of $18k. They were a tough sell new. Even worse used I would assume. I'm not even close to this dealer, so won't bother negotiating.

Still love the idea of a full sized car with manual transmission. Won't see it again that's for sure. Oh wait, a performance Fusion is coming. V6 TT. Not sure it will have a manual though.

What rims are those...?

I love the rims on that thing! Anyone know if they'd fit on a 2012 Focus? and where one would obtain them?
