Is it possible to have Start/Stop button but no auto-unlock?

Hi,

I bought a used Ford Focus Mk3 (diesel 2012) and it has the IA key with Start/Stop button. I've read in the manual that if i have a IA key, i should be able to open the doors by just grabbing the door handle (with the key in my pocket), but that doesn't seem to work.

I also read that there should be a rectangular button on the handle to lock the door, but i don't see it. Does that mean i can't unlock the car with the key in my pocket?

That little grey spot on the handle is the lock button.

We don't have the diesel in the US and you guys have different options available so it's possible. I believe over here if you have button start then you have IA.

I definitely don't have that grey spot, and even though the car is black i surely would've seen it. That's also what the manual said, start button = IA, but apparently i'm missing it.
