2015 Focus SE Fold Flat Rear Seats??????

****Stupid Question ALERT****

So I'm a new owner to a 2015 Focus SE Sedan. Everywhere I have been looking, including the owners manual say that the rear seat bottoms should flip forward to allow the seat backs to fold flat IF equipped with 60/40 folding seats.

Well I DO have the 60/40 folding seats, but I cannot find how to flip the seat cushion forward??

From videos that I've watched online, it appears that if the seat bottoms that DO fold forward are also split 60/40. My seat bottom is ONE PIECE, and nothing happens when I tug. Don't want to pull too hard and break something.

Just slightly confused since everything seems to contradict each other.

Either you tug from where you backrest and seat bottom meet

OR

If it's like mine was where the two white things are feel for a lever and release it and pull gently.

Looks like yours is the bottom removal only type? Not the flip & fold.

I know my earlier one isn't too easy to pop loose to fold forwards, seat back is over it at the rear.

It won't flip, but you can take it out and place it in the same position as a folding seat.

Thanks for the info 1slofofo. Sure enough, mine is like yours, simple enough to remove once you know how to do it. Just pop the 2 levers on each side, and pull forward.

The thing that was confusing is that EVERYWHERE I read stated if you had the split folding seats (which I do) that the seat bottoms should flip forward. Ford should clarify this.

My 2013 hatch with Option Package 201A has the flip up seat cushion on the split seats. The bottom cushion is also split like the seat back. You pull up the back edge of the seat cushion and flip it forward.

You can easily tell if you have the flip seat by looking at the vertical carpeted area under the front of seat cushion. If you see black metal strips with hinges at the bottom you have the flip seat.

My 2015 SE hatch has split flip-forward seat bottoms. I wonder if it's a hatch vs sedan thing...
