St front Strut owners

I recently installed eibach sportlines, st front struts, bearings, mounts, etc. I'm having coil bind issues on my bottom 2 coils in the front and believe it's possibly due to the top portion of the st mount/bearing set up being incompatible with the mk3 eibach springs. I spoke with an eibach tech Dave who instantly attributed the clunking/popping to the top hat mis allignment. The coil is resting flush 90 degrees at the top from the alignment point. I tried resting it at that point but it was not flush and sitting off of the plastic. It didn't make sense to try and leave it like that. It only seemed natural to leave it flush.

Do you guys know if I can use my se factory top strut components (mount/bearing/plastic isolator) with the st struts? I now have to take the front suspension back apart to fix the problem and need to know if I should be ordering new parts or just go back to stock struts/shocks.
I posted here to get specific info with the parts compatibility. The eibachs are for the mk3 but the struts are st's. A couple different members said they were running this set up so I felt confident ordering it.
Here's the other thread with pictures:Problem after lowering mk3

i can't speak for the eibach sportlines, but i have the eibach pros (35144.140). I put on 14' ST struts and use the oem mount/bearing/plastic isolator. no clunking, no noise. i made the notches line up and noticed the spring didn't really mate perfect. my issue, the front did not lower as much as the rear. the rear is lower by .5"
same result with the original SE struts. i gave up, as i could not figure out what the deal was. and the springs are rated for .7" lower front and 1" lower rear. so maybe thats what I'm seeing. not sure. hope my info helps.
i have a SE btw

I have a 2014 on eibach sport lines. I used 2013 ST struts and the minting gear from my 2014 struts. No issues here.

*ST Struts
AST-12281 $37.93
AST-12287 $37.93

ST Strut Mounts
AD-1098 $10.88 each (need 2)
Bearing AD-1094 (need 2)

Did you order using these same part numbers? From what I read the perches were modified but the top mounts didnt change. Hopefully, worst case scenario I can just reuse the oem mounts or bearings to make it work.
