2015 Focus se!

My brother has a 2008 and my mom had a 2003. The 2003 is long gone but was good car and the 08 has virtually no issues and has about 70k miles on it.

I am contemplating buying a 2015 se w/ 14k miles on it. I read allot of horror stories about the automatic transmission really being a dual clutch computer controlled transmission. Does the 2015 have the same transmission or has ford changed it? I see that the 2010-2014 has a 7yr 100k mile warranty. I like the car the transmission issues worry me and have me contemplating getting a Corolla instead, even though I hate the bland interior.

No, they supposedly fixed the transmission issues and I haven't had a problem yet with mine. If you do get it, you can always get an extended warranty for further protection but I think the 15's have a 65,000 mile warranty or something like that

My 2015 hasn't had a hiccup yet, whereas my 2012 was trouble. Granted, I'm only at 6500 miles, but it's been a joy so far to own.

Was a rental, clean carfax still has 53 months on power train and 29 on bumper to bumper. Asking 13k for the car and I will be able to beat them down on the price and get it for mid to low 12's. The transmission concerns me, I really could care less about the possibly jerkiness for me it's a reliability concern. I currently own a 03 mustang with 120k and a 03 Corolla with 180k. I keep my cars a long time when I buy them. So far in my readings the 2015 seems to be fixed, I don't like how the 7yr 100k doesn't apply to all the 15's I will have to call ford Monday to verify this after I massacre the dealer on the price tomorrow!

I figured you were going to say it was a rental. Makes sense. Yes the 15 drives so good compared to the '13 I had. It feels a lot different when shifting gears. I don't really know how to explain it... On my '13 it'd shift and have a very weak feeling low rpms. Now, on the 15, it shifts and there's a constant feeling of power. And I had my clutch replaced on the '13

Only 12k?! That's crazy! I have the Sport Package w/ paddle shifters and there's no jerkiness that I've felt on some back roads! No complaints with the car at all actually so for except that every time you turn the car on it has to say some 911 assist Bologna on the screen for like 2 min every time.

Depends on the build date. Could've been built in fall of 2014 so could be a year old. I used to average 20k per year on my cars. Had a 2006 Dodge Magnum and put 30k in one year on it doing a lot of road trips down south.

Right now I am about to 60K this month and this month will be 4 years I've had it so 15k per year average. Hey some of us actually take some road trips with our cars!
