How many 14+ models have needed a new clutch?

Finally took my car into the dealer for the TCM update and the transmission is still out of spec so the dealership is ordering me a new clutch pack. They informed me that I have a 10 year 150k mile warranty on the TCM but not the clutch. Not sure why Ford isn't extending the warranty on the 14 focus yet for the same problems that the previous models have been having.

My question is how many of you with a 2014+ model focus have had a new clutch installed?

I may be wrong, but I don't think it's that common on the '14s. The 2012s had it the worst.

Yea that's what I was thinking but my car is going in to get a new clutch replaced for the transmission slip between gears and I have a January 2014 build date focus with 27k miles on it. The dealer said that I have a newer clutch since it is a 14 but they are installing the clutch that is in the new focus so I really hope that will fix this problem

You would probably be on Revision D, then Ford skipped the letter E for Revision F, which is the current build. Good luck to you; I hope it solves your issues.

It has been discussed on the forum that revision D and F are the same clutch so if you have a D clutch, you have the latest revision. Ford just packages the parts as a kit now rather than the technician having to order them individually.

'14 here, built in 2013.

Clutches started slipping at approximately 9,000 miles. Dealer replaced clutches and reprogrammed TCM last week.

Get it done. You won't regret it.

Got mine done. '14 built in 8/13 (iirc) at 23,000 miles. Already starting to shudder again at 25,000.

Have you been back to your dealer for a check-up, Echonova?

My '14 (built 11/22/2013) needed a new clutch. That was about 300 miles ago (right around 20,000 miles). I'm really hoping they extend the warranty on it, though, as I don't have an extended warranty.

I will say that my dealership did handle it well. Diagnosed on a Tuesday and back to me by that Friday.
