Help please. Steering wheel chrome accents blinding me

Aloha again.

Has anyone had any issues with sunlight reflecting off of the chrome on the steering wheel into your eyes? I am. It's extremely obnoxious. I tried to use plasti-dip but that was a botched job. I didn't want to spray the can inside the car, so I would spray an ample amount on a used tshirt and then I would try and wipe it on the chrome. The plasti dip didn't want to take to the chrome at all. It just made a nasty finish on it I can't get off.

I didn't try to take the chrome accents off for fear of doing harm.

I could use some suggestions. I'm ready to just take black duct tape to the chrome. Is there a type of paint that I can brush onto the chrome and it take?

Thanks guys.

What do you mean by "wrap"? If you find out how to take them off, let me know. I'm not joking when I say I'm about to take black duct tape to it.
