New DCT Clutch Pack Coming Out?

A while back I read on this forum that a new DCT Clutch Pack was scheduled to come out August 2015. Does anyone know if this is still happening? I have a 2012 and had a new clutch pack installed 2013 because the old one was leaking. After 6 months it started shuttering again. I just live with it. I read the newer software upgrades make the car slower so that it shudders less. Is this true? However if they are coming out with a new clutch pack maybe they have solved the leaking seal problem? Maybe? I like the car. I like how it drives. It would be nice if they have finally solved the DCT issues. Outside of that my car has been flawless.

I did hear there was a TSB coming out to upgrade the transmission software sometime in September.

Where did you hear that? Do you know when in September. I am due for an oil change. Maybe I will ask about it this week.

I just had my 2012 Focus at the dealer last week for a software update and ordering a new clutch. The clutch is backordered currently for 2-3 months to address the shudder. With the new software, I feel my car is quicker and more responsive. Once I have the new clutch installed, I will let everyone know how it is.

From what I was aware, hardware-wise Rev. F (which is a D packed with the new seals) has been successful yet far. I spoke with service rep today, whom has a close ear with the gentleman who does NOTHING but the DCTs at the stealership and hasn't heard of a new software coming down the pipe.

Hopefully they come out with something to make this car more responsive. Going somewhere yesterday my wife commented, "My transit has more get up and go than this thing." Going in today for shudder evaluation. See how all this plays.

I was at the dealership a few weeks ago, asked about some noises from my transmission, and this is what they told me.

My DCT shifts smooth now and no jerking at low speeds... the snorkel delete, highflow drop in filter, fixing the gap in the intake air tubes, and rmm have done a lot of improve things...just my .002 cents

I had the same reaction after a recent software update: "...wow this thing is really responsive now!". But, as the "adaptive learning" process took over, responsiveness gradually reverted to its previous, less-than-great, level. I don't understand why Ford can't engineer this regression out of the system. Hope yours works better.

On the plus side, the software revision definitely helped with clutch engagement at launch, and this benefit continues.
