TPMS Question

I just installed a new set of wheels and tires yesterday without the sensors because I didn't think my car had them until I got the warning light today. I know it isn't really an issue but it's annoying to see it there. Is there any way I can possibly turn it off? I'm not sure if I want to buy the sensors and have to take them to the dealer and have them go through the hassle of installing them.

Thanks!

Yes you can turn it off ( I did)... it just a matter how much time, risk (you want to deal) and tech savvy you are...

I think what he means is that you can use a OBD2 device and the FoCCCus program to turn off TPMS functionality. The car will instead make sure that all of your wheels are rotating at approximately the same rate. There's a stickied thread about FoCCCus.

FYI, TPMS has been required by law on all new cars since 2008.
