2016 rear lights on 2012 to 2015 ?

So the rear lights are smaller but look essentially the same. Not taking into account the rear hatch and rear bumper, will they bolt onto the 2012 to 2015 MK3 Focus?

The 2015 is smaller than the 2012-14, I haven't seen the 2016 but I'm guessing they're going to be like the 2015's

Probably will have to change the bumper cover and maybe the hatch on a 5-door.

That's kinda what I was thinking, as they didn't even bother to change the fuel cap, so it now it is not really obvious... so if they didn't bother to change the body for that I suspect the rear quarter panels and body structure are not changed.

Would be really neat if we could swap lights/hatch/bumper to give an updated look

One of the coolest things on the hatchback is the way the fuel door is "integrated" into the design, not just a circle in the middle of the panel.

I would rather have the larger lamp on the 2012-14 version for better visibility.

BTW I had a 2000 then a 2004 Taurus and changed the rear lights on the 04 to the earlier style because I liked the early ones better.

I think they just changed the lights because they couldn't really come up with any other ideas for the mid cycle refresh and making them smaller was simple. The more I see from the 2015 makes me glad I have the one I have. I do like the center stack better but nothing that makes me have any wishes.
