No idea why it's doing that but it's irritating. It's a 2012 Titanium, auto. It's always honked once on a double tap of the FOB. Now one press and it immediately honks twice in quick succession. Why? All the doors are closed, hoods down and hatch is closed.

Are there settings that change this in the trip computer?

No idea. I've not been in the menu system for two years.

Could you please try your second FOB so we can rule that part out?

On page 74 of the October 2012 (2nd printing) version of the Owner's Manual:

Quote:
Locking

Press the button to lock all the doors. The turn signals will flash.
Press the button again within three seconds to confirm that all the doors
are closed. The doors will lock again, the horn will sound and the turn
signals will flash if all the doors and the luggage compartment are closed.

Note: If locking was not successful or any door or the liftgate is open, or
if the hood is open on vehicles with a perimeter alarm or remote start,
the horn will sound twice and the lamps will not flash.

Do your lamps flash when it honks twice?

No they don't flash. I just noticed I can't lock the doors from inside. No yellow light on the lock button. As soon as I press lock, the doors immediately unlock. When I press the FOB button outside, the doors are locking even though I get the double honk. I must have a failed lock sensor or something. Of course this happens 1000 kilometers out of warranty.

First thing I'd check is the hatch / trunk to make sure it's closing solidly and see whether there's a sensor there to detect that. Then the hood.

With the Titanium model, you also have the perimeter alarm, which could be where the problem is. Good luck tracking it down.

It's the right rear door. It's not locking but the computer knows if it's open. I opened the door with the car in gear and it showed on the display. The door also opens after I press lock while all the other ones are locked.

Wow. The power window for that door isn't working either.
