Angry Banged up my F.R. fender (I'm an Idiot Thread)

Car in front of me starts moving, I look to see if I can make it out in traffic behind her, she stops and I hit her!

Anybody know where I can get a used 2012 passenger side fender in Ingot Silver Metalic?

The damage seems to be only on the fender, so I am looking to replace the fender myself to save some cash.

Ouch that hurt...

ETA: Found one white fender and one black fender ($100.00 each) at local junk yards, no Ingot Silver fenders found yet. If anyone needs the white or black fenders let me know.

While his insurance might cover it, I would try to take the junkyard route in an effort not to get them involved. Insurers are vindictive bastards..

Correct. His rates would go up more than what a used fender would cost.

Back in the late '90s my Eclipse was keyed all over except for the pillars and roof and my insurance company covered over $2k for a new paint job and didn't notice an increase and recently had a claim of $3600 in hail damage on my 4Runner and still paying the same rates. I have Farmers and been with them since '93 and never have had any problems with the few claims I've made.
I think companies raising rates just because of a single claim isn't a guarantee but in this case I'd try to fix it myself and avoid an issue with a possible serious claim later on.

Reason yours didn't go up was because it was vandalism, it wasn't your fault and your insurance claimed it at comprehensive. Your comprehensive covers claims like that, glass damage (ex. windshield), act of God, hitting animals, etc. My insurance (Shelter) will cover 2 comp claims in a 12 month period before raising your rates. Sadly, the OP caused the accident and his rates will go up.
