I'm thinking mostlikely the front bumper will be the first thing to get smashed..

You'd think. But I've seen little hatchbacks of various brands sliding sideways into poles or even just getting rear ended. With distracted driving rear end collisions are on the rise.

It's probably not likely to find one, in the right color especially. But it IS possible and worth checking into. I'd check into that, and into the price of getting an OEM painted one, before I bought an eBay knockoff. Good chance it'll be thin, won't line up; plus paint is going to be expensive anyway if you want it to look right.

All Ford collision repair parts only come unpainted. It's recommended that you have the body shop match the paint on your particular vehicle. Especially if you didn't have a color that was available on the car the parts came from. E.x. Frosted Glass on a Focus ST front fascia to replace a lightly damaged original fascia.

Just an update

The bumper arrived this morning back home, from what I am told it was a good buy for the price I paid. Should be going in sometime this week along with the skirts for paint!

I will try to have a few pictures sent to me later today, If I get them I will have them up sometime tonight.

As for test fitting, I am going to have my brother check it out if he has time, I am 27 hours from home so it is a little hard for me to do it myself.

So did you ever get the pictures of it installed? Really interested in seeing how this worked out...

Unfortunately I never got any pictures, nobody back home seems to be reliable enough to help me out, nothing has even been taken in for paint yet although I was told it would be taken care of last week. Oh the joys of being on the other side of the country....

At this point it looks like I will be taking care of everything ~a month from now when I finally get back home, stay tuned and I will get pictures posted then of the installation. I hate to do that since everybody wants to see it, but I have my hands tied by the Marine Corps right now and am still temporarily stuck.
