Newly designed clutches for 2013 Focus on order?

Today I went to my local dealership cuz my car was acting up pretty bad, the shuttering or metal clicking noise was really loud. Last time when i had this problem they told me that it is normal for automatic DCT transmission and it will be fixed after break-in period.
Now, I have over 7000 miles on it and it is worse than before. I took a technician for a ride with me and he heard the loud noises, and suggested that clutches need to be replaced.
I talked to the service adviser and he said it is a design fault and Ford has some new redesigned clutches that will fix this issue? I don't if he is right or not, but I have to wait a week since clutches are on back order and will let you guys know what happens.

2013 Ford Focus with DCT has already been in shop 3 times for this problem, I hope they fix this now. I regret buying this car :(

I am getting there with mine as well. The grinding and rattling is really loathsome. I haven't heard anything about redesigned clutches, but I hope it is true.

Mine were installed in mid-June and I can still hear the chatter but not as pronounced as before. However, break in is frustrating since my last trans was smooth as silk after 14,000 miles but started the shudder from start issue.

I'm hoping for the thing to settle down after a few thousand city miles. Right now it's confused and doesn't know when to downshift, or, upshifts too fast and wants to bog down. Driving it hard from starts seems to help. I will be patient and I am grateful that the shudder is gone. Good luck

My solution arrived at the local Ford dealer on Wednesday. A 2014 Mustang GT.

Trading up, tired of the silly DCT.

Been there and done that...DCT = POS! Had a 12 SEL in the shop more times than I can count, trans out twice...leaking fluid. Thing started vibrating at ~20k miles until traded st 36k. Ford gave me such a run around on it I am amazed I am driving another Ford... Manual though.

Is it a problem with shuttering or shifting? If it's a shifting problem it may be the trans programming or the adaptive learning process. Drive it like you do, and give it a little time, if there's no change, take it in for reprogramming. I thought I remember reading that disconnecting the battery wipes out what the tranny has "learned" and you can start new.
I discovered that the adaptive learning process is real. I never drive in rush hour traffic and now that my hours are 4a to noon (1030-630 before) it's smooth sailing on the roads. The other day I was stuck for over an hour in rush hour traffic and my 6F35 trans shifted hard into 1st from a slow roll or stop and go. I was concerned and took it in and the shop said it was because of how I drive and what the trans had learned and there was nothing they could do.

Mine has been similarly confused since I drove it off the lot 19,000 miles ago. Nothing to see here folks - just move along, everything's normal.
