I would guess that 75-90% of all new cars I've purchased have had at least 1 problem. That question is quite broad. Could be one small issue or several big issues, but the answer would still be the same.

Exactly this. If the question is black-or-white, the answer doesn't necessarily reflect overall truth. The defect could be something simple such as the tail-lamp scratching the body that could have been rectified and fixed by the dealer before any issues occurred. Yes/no dictates that the car had an issue, but it doesn't fully substantiate whether the car was a lemon.

I'm not stating that all of these cars are perfect and that people don't have any issues, but I have never owned a vehicle that didn't have at least one problem. I actually make it a point to search out problems that may exist in order to get them fixed under warranty.

I disagree with that. People who have only problems post a couple times. People who post 25+ times want to be part of the community. Per my experience. I will say once I stopped looking at the Focus as a new car (even though it is) I started enjoying it a whole lot more. It feels really quick, handles well, and sounds great with the CAI. I like the interior options (though Muzi Ford totally ruined my MFT system when they fixed the GPS, though it probably just needs to be re-updated, its laggy as now and freezes every now and again) and it's a great drivers car.

Once I accepted the build quality issues, and little problems that shouldn't be I've really grown to love the car.

I don't have problems.. It's a way to regulate traffic on the forum. Just like posting for sale ads.

I love my car, and try and help anyone else out.
