Add sedan spoiler

has anyone installed a factory type spoiler to their sedan? I think it would really help the ass end of my car look better but don't know how hard it is to install or how good it looks vs an actual factory installed spoiler. I was also thinking about getting a black one to help break up the monotony of my silver car. it is an s model so it has black door handles, I tinted the windows, and put black hubcaps on it. I was thinking a black spoiler and blacked out badges on the rear could look cool but wanted some opinions and wanted to have some insight on how well installing one aftermarket works

Here is photos of mine the dealer originally took.

My main complaint is it is not easy to clean between the trunk and wing.

If you're good with aligning then it should be no problem. It should look relatively OEM if you do it right.

I had an ebay spoiler installed on mine. Looks same as stock but there are some thick plates in the trunk lid that are in the way of getting the bolts in to hold it down. Had to grind them down a bit at there sides. To get the bolts to bite I had to take the lid off and turn it over on the spoiler

did the ebay spoiler bolt holes not line up with the stock hole location? if you open the deck lid, and look at the underside there are 3 factory stamped holes for accessing the spoiler mounting bolts. Iv been thinking of doing this also. checked at the dealer to see what they wanted and for part, paint and install they wanted $730... guess im doing it myself.

On another note....F35, i like you sig but i think TB is a full time job LOL.

Yes they do but the trunk lid mount have heavy thick steel seats. The bolts need to be behind them. I'll take a pic tomorrow.

Had mine installed. Dad did it in about 30 minutes. Looks just like factory would. My only gripe is water getting stuck in the parts that go up the side of the trunk. Whenever I raise the trunk lid, water comes out and over my rear windshield, down the side, etc...

hell, thats not a big deal. when it rains and i open the deck lid water on itrund onto the rear window and even hots the drain trough and splashes on the inside trim panels. cant be any worse than that... i think it has to do with the shape of the deck lid.

The holes that had to be drilled in are next to the mounts.
