I had 20% on my Probe (I'm that old) and was pulled over at least 4 or 5 times for tint. One time I had my windows down and the cop made me roll them back up to check. Then I had 30% on my Mustang and was pulled over twice for tint. This was all before the tint laws changed in IL, but I would rather go legal than worry about it. Tickets are not cheap.

we have the EXACT same car right now, except for the rack. I haven't decided what I will go with on a rack system yet but I'm leaning towards the Aero Blades. Literally we have the same tint percentages and everything. I dont have the limo strip on the windshield though.

whats not surprising is that the cop car that pulls you over half the time has darker tints than the person he's hassling. there are brand new ford explorer squad cars in my town who must have 10% or below on the back windows, easily. but oh yeah, the cops are above the law. I forgot.

The only date I could find was 10/12. I couldn't find the exact day information anywhere.

As far as the Typhoon goes, I can't say enough good things about it. It had an instant impact on the engine performance and the sound is just orgasmic. I've noticed marginally better gas mileage too. About 2-3 mpg higher based on my regular driving. If you've got the extra $250 laying around I would say definitely go for it.

I have never heard of someone getting hassled because of tint in my life. Again...just follow the law and you don't have to worry about it.
