Got "The Works" done today, along with an automatic transmission drain and fill. Then I ordered an Electric Focus RMM from Village Ford - woo hoo! I'll probably install/have it installed on Monday.

By the way, any truth to the rumor that there are upgraded front wheel bearings for the 2012 MK3 (that have made their way to the 2013 model)? I also heard that there are upgraded strut mounts.

If it's true, does anyone have a part number?

Someone would have to try both to know for sure. The Steeda and Whiteline bars are different diameter but that doesn't mean anything. A smaller bar can have more rate engineered into it and the distance from the bar center to the end link mounting hole could be different as well. I will say that the Whiteline bar on the softest setting makes the car neutral. I'm going to put the front bar on today and then tighten the rear bar.

I just can't help but think that steeda's a little overrated. Almost feels as if I'm buying a name, rather than a product.

Steeda certainly makes some good stuff. But the way I look at, all Whiteline does is build performance suspension components. I tend to have more faith in a company when they specialize in one area.

Just got a k&n 57s intake system to test out on the focus. Will report back with some pictures

The k&n 57s or 57i which ever version it is work extremelly well with the ford racing snorkel. It has a consistent power band

Bought the upgraded strut mounts from Village Ford today for my 2012...part no. DV6Z-18198-A. According to Andy at VF, Foci produced after 10/25/12 have an upgraded design. The parts were $12.20, and after shipping and handling, the total cost was $22.14.

They're definitely different and beefier. I posted some comparison pics of mine in the clunk thread. I should be installing them in the next day or so.

Is it weird that I'd rather buy them and replace them myself than try to convince the dealer that I have a suspension clunk? (And I do, in fact, have one. Though, it may just be the bump stops.)

Also, that K&N 57 intake looks sick!
