Ice/Snow Undercarriage Quieting Suggestions

My FoFo does great in the snow, but I'd like to quiet down the noise of ice and snow hitting the undercarriage. I've owned several cars to date, and this one is the loudest. This is not a complaint - it's the best car I've ever had - but if I can minimize it, I will.

Mudflaps seem to be the first option, but would a replacement skid plate help any? It sounds like I'm constantly plowing through snow that's up to the undercarriage, when in reality it's only 1-2".

I want to say that the OEM felt part would minimize noise already, but I could also see it being the culprit if it's not thick enough - like snow hitting cardboard.

Has anybody experienced this?

Is yours undercoated at all? That helps quiet things, but since you've been driving it your undercarriage would need a good cleaning first.

No undercoating...I may look into that, though. I think I will definitely get some dynomat material put in, by the local interior shop.

regardless if it quiets the car down or not you should get to the undercoating place and get the car oiled
