My focus was AT the Dealer for an oil change on Thursday. When I picked up the car I noticed that the "Key Battery Low Replace soon" warning came on when I started the car. Tried both key fobs when I got home and am getting the Same message with either one. Replaced the battery in both key fobs but I am still getting the same warning.
IT
looks like the Dealer must have done something when they did the Service.
Is there a way to Reset this message? Has anyone Else had this issue?
Since changing the batteries in the keyfobs didn't get rid of the message, I decided to disconnect the battery yesterday. I disconnected the positive terminal for a couple of minutes and then reconnected it. The message is now gone and everything is working correctly.
abstang, thanks for the tip as I'll be bringing in my car for it's first check up (the one they give you after 90 days of ownership). I'm also happy to hear that the car warns you the battery in your key FOB is low LOL.
try as stated above to disconnect the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnect it
