strange brake pedal feel

Good morning all. My wife got her new SEL in February and she loves it, but won't let me drive it much. When I do get the pleasure, I notice that when I take my foot off the brake pedal it seem to release about 3/4'" then pop up the rest of the way. It feels like the plunger is sticking. The brakes themselves don't hangup just the pedal. My question, is this related to the "hill hold" or my imagination? She did have the TSB reprogram done in April or May. Car has about 7000 mi. now. Thanks for any feedback.

I noticed this too; a slight detent action during the last bit of return travel after applying the brakes. I'm training myself to ignore it.

Didn't know if it has something to do with the "hill hold" as this is our 1st DCT. Thanks for the reply

Sounds like the hill start feature. Basically if you completely press the brake and remove your foot, the pedal stays applied for a second longer. Nothing to worry about.
