man! I tried doing that exact same thing but all 3 cans of plastidip I bought bubbled up so bad on the test pieces of cardboard....

how much did you use to get the right amount of coverage?

and not sure if the early morning temps caused the bubbling or not, do you think so?

sweet rides guys I hope to be soon sporting the same thing

1: cardboard doesn't mix with dip that much.
2: it looks like hell on right after you spray it. Do a light first coat and let it dry, then use moderate coats after.

The cans of dip did not spray like i've seen on youtube, which its almost like a spray paint feel to it but these cans I had sprayed more like watery sludge with dime size bubbles.

I had sprayed both on a cardboard coke case and a large plastic surface as well and always the same results...

im not giving up though

Seeing those mods on your car makes me realize how bad we need smoked or black housing headlights. I have my grille the same way as you, now I'm thinking I need to do something with my headlights.

Tried it. Waste of time and money. It took a lot of cans and no matter how many coats I did the roof still looked streaky and blotchy. Not smooth and uniform. The bright side was it pushed me to have it wrapped in CF vinyl.
I still rocked it for a week until I had the vinyl installed.
This is how it should look. ; )
