information Center DTC's?

I just got back from the dealer had a Recall for PCM Reflash... after getting home, the DTC page in Test mode showed 4 new Fault codes....

In order they are:

C140_00
C121_00
C131_00
C151_00

i've tried googling these and I can't seem to find anything useful...

Any idea what these mean?

Before going in for service, No DTC's were present...

Called ford dealer that did the update and they really didnt tell me anything...

Programming usually sets a bunch of false dtcs because the other modules cant communicate with the pcm during programming. Most people usually clear them after but maybe your guy didnt. at any rate, unless something is actually wrong with your car they will clear themselves.

Thanks for the info... So, I'll keep an eye on it and if they don't dissappear within a week i'll drop back in to the dealership and ask them about it...

Hopefully its just a burp in the system...

Well i took it back in this afternoon, and as I rolled in the service drive, placed it in test mode on the DTC page where it was displaying the DTC's in a loop... The tech looked at it and got this odd look on his face, then said he'd take care of it.. and drove off with it.. Bout 30 minutes later, he comes back asking how I got to the screen showing the codes, so I told him how i got it to come up, and he told me their scan tool didnt show any codes at all in the system, even tho the message center in the dash was flashing them while he did the scan. He disappeared after that again for about 10 minutes and said the format of the codes didnt match what was in his book, and none of thier manuals said anything about test mode, but he put it back in test mode after attempting to clear all codes again and the message center came back "No DCT's"... said he wasn't sure why it didnt clear before.. or really how it did it that time, said he's going to email ford and find out more... and if the codes come back to write them down and let him know...

Leave it to me to come up with the real interesting things for them to figure out...

The hidden test mode Ford put in there is so "top secret" it appears they don't tell their tech's about it... at least at my dealership anyway..

one peculiar thing i did notice. After my reflash my upshift light started acting really odd... wanting me to go to 5th gear when 5th would actually bog the engine... After taking it back in this afternoon.. now the upshift light is working normally...

Maybe my FoFo just happens to be female... <ducking>
