Any wax here in Oklahoma also breaks down pretty quickly. I drive for a living so my car is consistently subject to the elements and specifically the wind-blown dirt and heat. It was 108F when I got into my car at 1400.

I guarantee, that regardless the wax, on my car it would be almost gone in 4-5 weeks.

Dyno, after looking at your wheels and the ones on Injected Engineerings Focus, I've pretty well decided that I gotta get the Team Dynamics wheels, and of course the suspension work.

I'm in GA, just north of Atlanta. Am I correct to expect shipping charges for the wheels of $300 +/- ?

Duane, your car is literally at the perfect ride height. Nice and low but it looks practical... Guess I know basically what I want to go for as an overall look when I go coilovers.

Also, I assume you have noticed your zetec s kit is slightly off color from the rest of the car.. Was this intentional?

Two other questions... Do you rub at all on any of the wheel wells or did you roll your fenders a bit? What about steering?

And also, the zetec s side skirts... are they longer than the stock black ones or is that just my imagination lol

It was intentional, I think he elected to match the anthracite pro race 1.2 wheels rather than the SGM of the body as a subtle little difference.

Thanks! The ride is actually pretty practical. I haven't gotten into a situation that I can't maneuver (yet) while out and we still use it as a family car and have even taken it grocery shopping. The kids love it because they think it looks cool and sounds like RACECAR. The only obstacle I've had so far was getting the alignment, because the seven shops I went to here couldn't board it onto the rack. The one that finally got it on actually scuffed them but it's on the bottom and you can't see it without being under the car.

Ben is right, it was intentional and sprayed to match the wheels. Depending on the time of day, angle you're looking at it, etc., it goes between body color and wheel color.

As for rubbing/steering, no issues at all. I planned my wheel/tire combination around not having to do fender work. The wheels are 8" ET33 with a fat 215/40 tire, and I still have a few mm left to play with. The tires alone drop the car about 1/2".

For the Zetec S side skirts- it is an optical illusion. They are the same length, but where the OEM skirts tuck under, these flare out. They also extend about an inch lower, which adds to the illusion
