I don't know what kind of shoes you wear or maybe you jump in and out of your car lol but I would hope only a weeks worth of normal use wouldn't scratch them.
For $150, I was expecting quality, that's all.

I wasn't referring to the dirt that can be washed off. I was referring to the scuffs and scratches that your dirty shoes are going to cause. I'll warn you now that they'll never look as new as they did out of the package, regardless of what condition they arrived in.

They're high quality mats, and worth every penny I paid for them.

Upset over scratches on a plastic floor mat, you've got to be kidding... right?
When they cost $150 you bet I was initially upset!!! And its not just a few scratches.

Of course they will not look like new for very long. Im sure that Rhiannon666, like me, knows that, but lets say you ordered a brand new pair of high quailty work boots and they arrived all scratched and marred, would you say `Oh well, they will soon get dirty and scratched anyway so it doesnt matter."? No you wouldnt, you would send them back.

We are just saying that for a $150, high quality, mat set, you would expect that out of the box they would be in new, clean, and unmarked condition and these mats are not.
As I risk incurring more expense if I return them, I will probably end up just accepting their condition and using them and Im sure , based on the feedback of others here, l will ultimately be happy wiith the protection they offer, but if I had bought them from a local store I am sure I would be taking them back and asking for replacement.
For a brand new product they should be in `new` condition out of the box. And if its simply a fault of the packaging then Husky should review this and make better packaging.

I got mine in June and they still look brand new. I don't have many passengers though but drive the car 72 miles a day minimum.

I guess if you were wearing heavy duty hunting boots with lug soles, then they would be scuffed up looking. I wear Merrells or am barefoot when I drive :)

Once a week I spray a little 303 Protectant on the driver's side > looks great !

Thanks for the input

Merrells or barefoot? Hippie? Lol . Yeah my shoes are not rugged either so I would hope they wouldn't be scratching up the mat.

The 303 protectant, that's a good idea...

Could you post some pictures of how they look? Would like to be able to compare to mine.

You are correct. I had Husky's in my Focus and I purchased a set for my 2013Escape. They were scratched about 10 minutes after I installed them and they still worked great. As much as I want to keep my car perfect, I'm not too worried about the floor mats that are installed specifically for protecting the carpet from sand, salt and filthy snow.

Well boots aren't rubber mats, are they?

You're right, I would send the boots back. I wouldn't send the mats back though, and didn't.
