The low beams and fog lights are H11's. The high beams are H1's.

I swapped out my highs, lows, and fogs for Luminics Ti white bulbs. Very satisfied with all of 'em. The H1 highs aren't nearly as white as the H11s in the lows and fogs. And they were pricey..................

[QUOTE]There are no yellow H11 (or compatible) bulbs in quality worth buying
for your fog lamps.[QUOTE]

What exactly does this mean? I have 3000k Putcos that seem pretty quality to me. Way better than tinting or spraying the lenses.

Just did the H11 to H9 swap. The modified H9 is definitely brighter than the stock H11. Tried to take a picture of the difference but my smartphone couldn't capture the light output properly. Had to use a Dremel tool to remove the additional tab on the H9 in order to fit. Other than that, the hardest part was to reinstall the headlight assembly back into place.

I may be wrong, but I thought I remember FF members who swapped to H9's had issues with scorching the inside of the headlight assemblies slightly. I wonder if that's true?

I was thinking the same until I came across this link from another car forum. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2083911 As long as we use the 65 watt H9 bulbs, a three degree increase in temperature should not be an issue with our headlight housing. Just don't use the 100 watt version and everything should be fine. Will share my long-term experience with this mod.

You're right, see here: Reflector "burn/haze" on headlights

I decided to stick with an upgraded H11 (Philips Extreme Vision) instead of going with H9.
